The Beginnings of the Slow the Flow Initiative

BooblesTherapy2.jpg

The Slow the Flow initiative was started out of our Help for Cleveland Pet Owners Facebook page in January of 2025 with one simple call where we asked if we can sponsor some pit bull spay/neuters for people in Cuyahoga County.  The Vet we called gave us five priority slots, as they saw the issue of too many of them.  This told us we may be on to a much needed service.

Since that time, we added three other Vet partners, have completed over 40 surgeries, have 30 more lined up and may break 100 for the year.  Our original goal was 60, but we have many people sponsoring surgeries for us - which is resetting the 60 until we figure out a not-for-profit channel.

Carianne is the primary Founder of this initiative and her super cool husband (Eric) and two rescued pit bulls (Boobles and BeanBall) fully support it as they were both overbred before they landed at Cleveland Animal Care and Control.

When Carianne isn't trying to fix all the pit bulls in Cuyahoga County, she is working mostly in People Ops roles, hanging with awesome people, trail running, biking or playing outside.

Coming Soon!

So much is changing so more information is coming soon.

We don't know this person!

Or this person.

Or this person, but hope all these animals are fixed.
